How to Convert a Straight Exterior Wall to Pony Wall?

Is there a way to convert a straight exterior wall to a pony wall without deleting wall and rebuilding?

not sure what version you are using... but in 2025 pro..

 

Click on wall and thenc lick edit icon thingy..

Then go to wall type and in middle of page is PONY Wall check box..

CLick it and the lower wall portion allows you to edit it now..

SO edit upper and lower and click done

I believe you talking about the select object (the wall) and then open object.  When I do that there is no option to select Pony Wall.  I have Architectural 2025 and not Pro, maybe why there is no option.

Always include that info when asking a question. People responding are often using Pro, or even one of the Chief Architect (not Home Designer) products and may not understand the limitations of Architectural.

@BobWilTry this, draw a straight pony wall somewhere outside of the plan. Use the object eyedropper and select the pony wall and then click on the walls you want to change. I used HDA 2025 trial version.

Garybills, that may work.  Did a quick try and it looked like the workaround may have worked, will get serious tomorrow about applying to the walls I need to change, thanks!
