Working in Home Designer Pro 10 and want to use different floor covering in different rooms.  However when I open one room area and place a floor covering all the rooms change to that same covering.

Stop using the Material Spray Can or Eye-Dropper and use the "Materials Tab" , one at a time by way of each "Room Specification Dialog- Materials Tab" to change the  material settings for each floor.

Sorry, not sure what other program info I can share.  Looked at the info again and it's Home Designer Pro 10.  Say's built 2.3.2011  then it has 10.4.3.5

 

Selected Tile for Master bath and all floors changed to tile

Click on the area I am looking to change to wood:  ie, master bedroom

Click on Floor Coverings

Chose Library material  (Wood)

Click OK, either it stays tile or ALL rooms convert to wood

Do you have this issue in a new (or every) plan?

 

Attach a plan file that demonstrates the problem and someone will take a look.

Then are you setting the floor material by way of "Edit - Default Settings - Floors - Floor 1 - materials - floor"? Using that setting is supposed to change all rooms on a single floor to what you set. Still not sure what you are doing that is not working as expected.
