CCarpenter
Any thoughts as to why this window isn't cutting through the exterior sheathing and siding? All of the other windows in this model are fine. This window is in a space or room that is open to below so I suspect that has something to do with it. I've tried placing it in the plan and on the model... Thank you!
Rookie65
If you have auto rebuild walls on, it could possibly be that there are a couple of layers of wall there, so it isn't cutting through just one layer. Without the plan file, it's just a guess, though it does happen.
CCarpenter
Ok, I'll check. If that doesn't work I'll upload the plan file. Thanks
CCarpenter
So it seems to have something to do with the stairwell and designating the 2nd floor area as "open to below. When there is a floor or I designate it as "Hall" the window cuts through but when I label it "open to below" it doesn't. I can't upload the model because it is too large. solver
When windows or doors do this, it's usually because there are two walls in the same space -- something that sometimes happens with multi story structures. You should be able to select the walls in a 3D view and see this. Did you try zipping the file? You can also use Edit Area (All Floors) to cut out a section of the plan.
