ljkonkol
Hello, I am using Home Designer Pro 2021. Previously I used Chief Arch Pro Version 8. In version 8, I was able to generate an automatic view of the wall cross section. It detailed all the components in a wall, including footings, foundation, bottom plate, top plate all framing including the trusses or rafters. Similar to the image below, which generates when you open the room specification dialog. However, in this view it doesn't show the roof rafters or trusses what ever the case might be. My question is, how do I generate this automatic cross section view? It seems logical to think that there is a way since it generates it in the room specification dialog. solver
Open Help, search for cross section.

In Premier you have the "Detail View", which added some fills automatically but in Pro it is all done manually by you ala AutoCAD procedure with 2D overlays. ljkonkol
I see, interestingly though, when you select a room and open the dialog box for that room, on the left hand side a section detail comes up of that room. Thank you

What is displayed is a view is controlled by layers. If you want to see framing, you need to build framing and set the framing layer to display.
