Framing Shower requires additional studs.... how do I add a stud?

Recommended Posts

I'm using Home Designer Pro 2021. Adding a bath and utility room in all metal building. The shower requires additional framing based on the install manual. Most of this can be accommodated by moving existing studs to match. But I end up one stud short. I can't figure out how to add a stud. :(

I see you said Pro 2021.

You can help everyone by adding that info to your signature (see below for how to turn them on) by clicking on your user name at the top right of the page, click Account Settings, then Signature on the left.

Doing so makes it always available, and keeps others from having to hunt for it.

And, turn on signature display too.

copy/paste returns this error message:

What are you doing that is resulting in that message? What type of view etc.

you can easily add an additional stud by copying a stud and then grab it and move it into place.    Transform/replicate   (copy) works well also and just move the copy.  The copy paste function does seem to give the error described above

forgot to mention that auto framing needs to be disabled before adding the stud
