starreece
I'm trying to create a screen in patio walls with the lower half of metal. I found out how to create the screen in KB, but I can't determine which wall type to use.
solver
There are multiple ways of doing this. Here I've used a railing wall with solid panels and manually placed the screen (use a thin soffit and apply the screen material). You could use an open railing and manually place the panels and screen for a more accurate look. The KB suggests using windows, I believe, to model a screened porch. Rookie65
Hi, I always use soffits for screening. Set the thickness to an 1/8" or so, just so you can select it to move, extend, etc. Then select the material as "screen", and play around with the settings. This is what I use. Screen: - soffit – 1/8” thick - General – screen – shading contrast 31%, pattern-area, texture x=1”, y=1”, Properties – Transparency 63%, Emissive 5%
starreece
I found the plan material and that made all the difference. I definitely learned something new today.
