Hardie vertical siding Reveals

I was wondering if anybody had success putting in reveals (or getting the same look) for smooth panel vertical siding?  I've managed to get the smooth panel from the certainteed catalog but seems no option to do the reveals (metal piece in between the panel). Here is an an example of what they look like. (See metal strips between siding and on the corners).

In order to create such a particular look you would need a texture file (image) that emulates that look and appearance. You can create things like that using Photoshop, Corel Paint Shop Pro or even Microsoft Paint. Once you have the image file you import it into Home Designer as a custom material which you can then apply to 3D surfaces in your plan.

Hi Guys, I couldn't figure out how to do it in the end. One thing that worked was using very thin soffits and copying them. Here is a picture.

I figured your panels would not be in a regular pattern -- grid aligned with windows for example.

 

You could use a standard pattern, but would need a texture to go with it.

 

The image is a brick pattern enlarged.
