crosscutter55 Posted June 7, 2017 Share Posted June 7, 2017 i would like to apply a wood grain to a deck board 5 1/2" wide by 42" , i want the grain to be running the length of the board 42 " . i cant come up with any soulutions to this i am using it on stair threads to lay on top of the existing stair thread ( 1/16" thick ) miter ( 45 degree ) on each end & have returns on the left & right side from the thread nosing to the next riser . i can figure out how to make these 3 items just cant get the grain to follow Help please Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Rookie65 Posted June 7, 2017 Share Posted June 7, 2017 Maybe try creating the tread in the direction the grain runs w/the material. Once it's set, rotate the item 90 degrees and maybe the grain will stay with it? Justa thought, haven't tried it & working on a project right now. Good luck!
