libsock
I am trying to create a post and beam for the trusses to extend beyond the bearing wall for a covered porch, program keeps saying can't do it because no roof planes were found, trusses don't recognize the general framing as a bearing point. DavidJPotter
HD Pro is the only program that offers truss creation. In order to have a truss form is to first have a flat ceiling and roof planes in place, the truss tool then fills the void between the ceiling and roof planes. DJP The bottom chord of a truss is built at the Ceiling Height -- you don't need a ceiling, just the dimension set. Ceiling planes must be in place if the bottom chord is not level, like a scissor truss.
