rfcomm2k
I wish to see a wall elevation of kitchen cabinets. However, if I select "Wall Elevation" from the menu, I cannot add dimensions to it. If I select "Cross Section/Elevation" from the menu, I can add dimensions, but the section line carries with it the entire structure. I wish to see only the part of the elevation that relates to the kitchen cabinets. I could probably print the file to a PDF and then use an external editor to blank out the parts I do not want to see, but I was hoping this can be done within HD Pro. solver
It's common, even using Chief, to use CAD to mask what you don't want to see. Draw whatever shape is needed, set the fill to solid.
rfcomm2k
Duh. That is what I was going to do in the PDF editor, but this is a better idea. Thanx again.
Solution DavidJPotter Posted September 21, 2016 Solution Share Posted September 21, 2016 In Home Designer Pro you can adjust the sides and top of a view sent to layout using the provided handles of the view on layout, no CAD mask is required, you show what you want to show on layout. rfcomm2k
Thank you DJP, I tried that and it cropped the view just as I needed it.
