ual763
Hello, is there a way for me to build a roof for a detached garage without ruining or changing the roof I already have built for the house? I am using Home Designer Architectural 2017. Thank You, Robert
DavidJPotter
Provided your pre settings are correct you should not loose the house roof when adding a garage unless of course the garage is attached to the house which then alter the overall design. If you were to provide a copy of your plan file and perhaps a sketch or description of the garage's roof, then something specific could then be offered as useful help. ual763
Hey David! I attached the current home plan. For the garage roof, I'm looking to just have a gabled roof. Every time, I go to build a roof, it changes the roof of the entire house. Regards, Rob Home_Plan.zip
solver
Was your plan modified in some other version -- Pro or Chief?
ual763
No it was not.
solver
Just rebuilding the roof on the house -- garage has No Roof checked, completely changes the roof. Don't understand how this can be, since with Architectural, you must use the programs built in roof function.
ual763
I figured it out. I selected the porch/deck room and checked roof over this room and then used the build roof feature and it worked like a charm. Got it just the way I like it now.
