Click on the Stair Icon and select which way you want the steps to go left or right, then click and drag the end into almost one complete circle and let it go. Then click on it again and hold the mouse button down and dray it close to each others end and you'll see the circle change in size. Adjust to what you want. I used the one from the library and when I searched the online help I didn't get the one that Kat suggested. I entered "create opening for spiral staircase" in the search field -- guess it was too complicated, should have just entered 'spiral staircase".
