Which title (Suite, Pro etc) are you using?
When you open the stair, do you get a dialog like the attached?
-
The problem wall gets marked "Roof Cuts Wall at Bottom" -- image 1.
You then need to manually drag the two roof planes over the entry into the wall. They should snap in place. I needed to pull the right side back a bit at the top right corner -- image 2.
Does this do what you wanted?
-
Really need the plan. Have you tried zipping it? Maybe cut it down so just the problem part is shown.
-
Thanks David. I envisioned rotating the terrain as needed and then placing the house in the terrain using Edit Area All Floors or something similar.
-
I would think you would show switch and an outlet/junction box on the plan, and use a note to show the specific lighting type, or refer to your lighting schedule.
-
Did it work?
-
Why not move the house onto the terrain?
-
That's sometimes called cove lighting, so you might try searching for that.
-
Is there a trick that would have made that a bit easier?
When you change defaults, it changes everything.
Go to level 0 (basement), then, Edit > Default Settings > Floor
Change as needed.
-
What is "0" layer -- Floor 0?
I imagine you need to move them down manually. Double click the object and set Floor to Bottom to a negative number.
-
What do you mean "That might work"
-
Try this.
-
Turn off the arrow, which also removes the text, then add your own text and arrow.
-
Could you post a picture of what you wish to model?
-
Please post the plan.
I noticed there is a wall misalignment issue very visible in your 3rd image. See if you can fix this prior to posting the plan.
-
Something simple, I'm sure.
Could you post the plan?
-
Are your settings as shown in the image?
-
You did good John. I was going to tell you how to do that if you did not figure it out. Was headed to a job this morning and didn't have the time.
One of my suggestions to Chief is for a Template Manager that would help do this automatically.

With Pro you have several options.
Select the dormer, right click and choose Explode Dormer. You may then make changes to the individual parts -- roof planes, walls etc.
You may also build the dormer manually which is a good learning exercise.

I believe you could create a new template that included the wall type, then use this as a base for new plans.
-
One I did several months ago. Just like Jo_Ann suggested, 2 pass-throughs and a doorway.
I seem to remember changing the width of something directly in the Specification Dialog.
-
I rebuilt the foundation because it was not under the house. No other changes to it.
I took another look at your plan and used your "special" walls without exterior siding on the first floor. As you see they are tight together.
I did make manual changes to the roof planes and edited a wall or 2 to make everything look correct, although I'm not sure really what correct is.
Not sure you can get Architectural to build the roofs correctly.

Could you explain "planning out circuits"? What are you wanting to achieve?
