MississippiMims
I have my building set up with 16" floor/ceiling trusses but they wont show up in a section of the building. I was looking at the settings and have attached a screen shot of them. You can see I want the rough ceiling to be 12', which it shows. With 16" trusses between, the floor above should be 160". As you can see in the screenshot, the floor above is 156 5/8". If I try to change that to 160", it changes my ceiling height. What am I missing? Is this why my trusses wont show up in a section? Rookie65
Try setting your ceiling default to 16". You show the dimension, yet it's not checked as "default". It's a guess without seeing any more of the plan.
Solution y-g-m-n Posted Friday at 07:44 AM Solution Share Posted Friday at 07:44 AM ceiling joists are different then 2nd story floor joists. Floor joists act as ceiling joists, but Ceiling joists DO NOT support floor above. So go to defaults and check what you have. If you look at your picture you can see where it shows the CEILING truss as 16 but the 2nd story floor joists are difference of 156.625 - 144 = 12.625" See below where you set them up in default Ceiling & Floor 2 framing materials on 1st floor tab. MississippiMims
You are correct. You have to change the floor parameters to 16" trusses for the second floor and they showed up. Although I've never seen the dialogue box you show in your picture. I changed mine in the dialogue box in my original post. Thanks for the direction. Rookie65
I wasn't sure if you had a 2nd floor on the building. That text box y-g-m-n shows is in your "framing" box in the defaults settings tab.
