Kaylar01
I did some generic/simple "idea" sketches in google sketchup to help design the guest house for the pool. It seems we have settled in on a design and now Im switching to home designer PRO to get it a little more iron clad. I am struggling with the roofs... The larger roof is a 1.5" pitch from 9' to roughly 11'. Where the problem arises, is I cannot figure out how to make the smaller "bathroom" have a second shed roof come into the other building at different pitch and underneath the other roof... Hard to explain so a picture is worth 1000 words kinda thing. Google sketchup pictures are what im looking to mimic. If anyone cant point me to a article a how-to I would appreciate it. I haven't had any luck so far Thanks for your time!
Rookie65
Since you have Pro, you can do the roof on the first pass as "auto build roof." Then turn that off, go to the lower roof, and adjust the pitch to what you want it to be. Or you can draw them both with manual roof planes since it's a very simple structure. Please update your signature so everyone knows what version and year of the program you are using. The reference manual and "help" tab are also good places to look, so you aren't waiting for people to respond.
Kaylar01
Thanks! I'll poke around youtube for something on manual roofs, maybe that will help!
Rookie65
You don't need to look at YouTube. It's right in the reference manual and very simple. Or search help or knowledge based articles.
