dantappin
I have a typical garage on the side of the house. The issue is the trusses are automatically running lengthwise (long) vs widthwise (shorter) resulting in some crazy trusses. I know that at the end of the day these will get final custom designed from the supplier - just trying to make this look right and also help with the bill of materials to estimate. I understand roof groups and that sort of helps except that the roof then stops at the end of the garage. Any ideas here besides manual roof panels? solver
The auto truss builder was added only a year or two ago and has plenty of bugs. I reported this one long ago. The easiest solution is to draw your own trusses. See help/videos for how to -- it's not like you need to build them from parts, the program does the difficult work. Rookie65
Did you try changing the "framing direction" from the framing dbx?

If I set that to a separate roof group it has 90% of the work done and then I just need to re-connect the rooflines.
