Top rail on wall railings and stair railings

I am fairly new to HD.  I would like to use a different shape for the top rail for the stairs and the railings around the stairs.  I also would like to make them a dark brown while the balusters are white. The posts are dark brown as well.  I assume I look in the library, but I am not sure that shape is in there and how would I assign it to top rail?

Find a molding profile in the library -- look in (download) bonus catalogs too.

In a camera view, click the molding in the library, then click the object you want to change.

Painting (or staining) works the same, or select the object, open it and change in Materials.

If you go to the bonus catalogs, under millwork, there's a catalog for purchase called Handrails No01 fittings. In there are several styles of handrails which you can select from. Then follow Solver's direction to apply it to the handrail.
