andrewcali
I am working on an Intel Celeron processor 2.41 4GB ram. The I have a much faster I5 (much faster operating system) but its not mobile. Will it make a difference particularly in the time it takes to go 3-D and bring up items with a faster processor than the celeron??....or is the time limited by the the software? It's taking about 3-6 seconds to bring up the 3-d perspectives...You guys that have it loaded to a really fast system IE: I5 I7 or even Quad core..does the program load faster? DavidJPotter
Your CPU is not the pivotal matter, your video card is the main factor relative to rendering and camera view speed and stability. Of course a faster CPU will help, faster RAM and having an SSD hard drive helps but your video card is always the main bottle-neck for visuals. Most laptop video support falls short for Chief Architect and Home Designer title performance. DJP
English
I have a fast (280 GTX) card on my Mac and rendering takes about 5 seconds, Alan

Kbird1
make sure you have the latest Intel video Drivers if your laptop is using the Intel HD videocard, if you laptop has two videocards ,make sure Chief/HD is using the nvidia or ATI card not the intel card too.
