I'm not sure if this is the correct thread about such a question, but is it possible to stay logged in this forum? I have to sign in every time. Am I missing a "stay logged-in"-type-button?

Yes, the new forum requires a sign in on each visit, one purpose is to keep down spammers so the forum is used just for what it is intended.

I find if I don't log out ,that the 1st login per day seems to be good for 24hrs ? I can go away and come back a few hrs later and am still signed in but sometimes still have to sign back in if I don't visit for a few days...

Currently as Kbird mentioned you will stay logged in for 24 hours as long as you don't log out or log in on another device.  Logging in another device will automatically log you out on the previous device.

 

We are still evaluating whether or not 24 hours is the correct amount of time and are willing to make some changes.  If you have any suggestions as to what a good amount time would be please let us know and we will consider it. Be aware however that forever like the prior forum system will not be an option.

24hrs is probably fine for most but I am curious why you don't allow the forum to "remember" us , most forums I belong to allow this and I see little spam etc elsewhere.

Well thank you all for your answers. I think David covered me the most, although I doubt if this will stop spammers. Stupidity is bigger than the universe. Anyway, I'll live. Thanks again.
