malconium
I would like to have a barrel roof over my front porch. I know how to make other types of roof shapes but I do not see anything in the roof making menus that would allow making a curved roof. Is there a way to do this? malconium
That is a pretty tedious process but at least it is possible...

DavidJPotter
Were I you, I would download a free version of Sketch Up, it is easy to use and you can use it to make a barrel ceiling object to then import into whatever you have (provided it accepts .skp=Sketch Up files for import). Check and see what your software offers for symbol file imports first to make sure you are not merely wasting time. DJP
Elovia
I agree with the posts above. It is possible to model a barrel roof in HDPro, and it can be tedious. That said, depending on the desired finished product, you may be able to take shortcuts using SketchUp. Here is an old post (with image) of mine from the Legacy Hometalk forum that shows it may be achievable using an exploded barrel roof dormer. http://hometalk.homedesignersoftware.com/showthread.php?14994-Barral-Ceiling Good luck.
