bbrother
Hi . I'm having trouble getting the CMU walls to show up in the framing overview. this happens with full walls as well as a portion of a pony wall. As you can see all exterior walls are CMU and the front porch walls are pony walls with the lower wall being CMU. I looked at the wall defaults and it seems good to me. On the pony wall it only lets me show either upper or lower portions of the wall. Is that correct? Thanks for any help
solver
Answers often depend on which title (Suite, Pro etc) and version (2018, 2019 etc) you are using. You can help everyone by adding that info to your signature (see below for how to turn them on) by clicking on your user name at the top right of the page, click Account Settings, then Signature on the left. Doing so makes it always available, and keeps others from having to hunt for it. And, turn on signature display too. ---- Resources for self help: The built in Help System (always a good place to start) Getting Started Knowledge Base YouTube Home Designer - Getting Started - Setting Preferences and Defaults Watch on YouTube: http://youtu.be/s-TcAHsiMjg?hd=

solver
A framing overview only shows walls on level 0 and walls above that are framed. It doesn't show walls that are not framing like a CMU or pored concrete wall.
bbrother
Thanks for the tip on my signature. I meant to add that in my question, but forgot. Home designer Pro 2014. so if the CMU walls don't show up on framing overview, where will I find a view that shows the CMU walls with framing members? I'm doing a small project that I need drawings for the permitting process. Thanks again
solver
I believe you need to start with a standard Perspective Overview and change things to show as you want. For your wood framed walls, you would create a new wall type without drywall and turn on the wall framing layer so it shows.
