BrandonJJinkins
Designing a roof over an outdoor kitchen, I've created beams out of soffits and technically the drawing can be left this way but we're perfectionists and we'd like to have a wall or something to close this thing off. I tried using a wall, but of course that just enclosed the whole structure. As an alternate option, I'd also like to know how I can draw a decorative thing such as the example I've attached. katalyst777
Use an attic wall, this article says it applies to Chief but the same basic steps work in Pro.https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00083/drawing-an-attic-wall-manually.html There are a bunch of prior threads on decorative trusses if you do a search on the forum.https://hometalk.chiefarchitect.com/topic/2610-how-to-add-or-model-a-custom-gable-decoration/
LawB10
That's because you manually created the roof, and used soffits when you didn't have to. Did you check the library for the beams? Rebuild the outdoor kitchen using walls and doorway(s) without the casing.
