Bill_M
Using Creaking Ancient BHG Home Designer 8 Learning to use the software. Decided to make some terrain. I put the house on a hill on the property. Unfortunately, the house is partly sunken INTO the hill. I was hoping to have it sitting at grade level atop the hill with a rear deck on the down slope. Any way to get the house up to grade level? I can post a jpeg of the effect if needed. (Thanks in advance.)
DavidJPotter
Terrain as a feature was added to the basic program in 2000 AD, so one sets the terrain as an object to the structure's "Floor Zero" of the first floor. The Terrain Plane has a dialog and in that dialog there is an input box (Building Pad) where you can raise or lower the terrain relative to your structure. katalyst777
The instructions in KB-00322 that David references should still be correct for version 8 programs, although I think the name of this field changed so it may look a bit different in the older version.(. . . 2000 AD, really?)
