Sky view in window scene

Recommended Posts

I have somehow inserted into my windows a sky scene and have no idea how to remove it can anyone help?  And also do you know if you can import Dulux colours in to the colour palette please? I am using HomeDesigner pro in Australia.

Thanks.

sounds like you have backgrounds on? in whatever view you are using, you can turn it off in Preferences for each view type or per Plan via the3D Menu. The default one is a sky scene , look in 3D>3D View Defaults , on the Backdrop Tab you can change it or turn it off and specify a colour , I usually use an off white or pale grey as the default is too bright for me.

Dulux doesn't have a Library for HD AFAIK but if you know the RGB numbers for the Colour you can make the Colour by making a Custom Material and saving it to you Library. There is a Resene's Catalogue , not sure if they are in Oz as well as NZ though?

Please add you details to your Forum Signature , see mine below .

The KnowledgeBase (KB) is a very handy place for lots of good info and Tutorials on stuff like this

Thanks for your help Mick.  I worked out how to import the image of the paint colour from the Dulux websites thanks so much for this.

Another question, do you know if you can make one wall of a bedroom on a slant at all please?

HD can not do "slanted" walls  , you usually need to fudge it with a wedge (triangle) from the Shapes Library or something done in Sketchup and imported.

Thanks Mick. That all sounds too hard for me i'm afraid! also, when presenting these drawings to people is the easiest way to just take a screen shot of image required, or export as PDF and then insert into presentation? is there are 'snazzier' way to insert images? I just do that and then crop and resize them all which is fine but just wondered if there was more to it....

I typically just use the Export Pic function in HD or even just the Windows Snipping Tool (accessories) which is also what I use to post most Images here.

Even Chief doesn't have Slanted ( sometimes called Battered) Walls but people have been asking for it for many years but I am not sure it is high on the request list as the program is designed for "normal" residential work really.
