Yes, I suggested Same Wall Type back in post 15. This really should be the default setting. Alan -- Check out that post. And why are you drawing basement walls? Typically, the basement walls are generated from the first floor walls automatically when you build the foundation.

Reflect About is handy for many things. Here, I drew the top left bay (so I could draw clockwise), then using Copy and Reflect About, copied it to the other corners of the structure.

Doable with a doorway and pass-through. Just drag the side of the pass-through into the doorway a bit to eliminate the framing.

Not sure what you are referring to when you say "standard foundation wall". You may set defaults for walls for each plan, so when you draw an exterior wall, for example, you always get the default wall you set. I stil don't understand the problem you are having. If you are drawing an as built, do you have pictures of the house? Could you post a hand drawn image of the plan? "The problem in drawing counter clockwise is that I end up with a wall that connects to the existing building that is not what I need." What do you need?

I try to draw walls clockwise. Draw 1, then 2 setting it to length, then 3, set to length etc. Having Same Wall Type Handle set helps me.

That's what I needed. Suggest using a slab or custom counter top instead of a soffit for the hearth, as I believe a soffit automatically has any trim wrapped around it. Once I substituted a slab for the soffit, the baseboard was still wrong. I deleted the closet shelf (mantle), then put it back using Ctrl+Z. The base changed to be correct. Looks like a bug.

I was suggesting you post the plan file, not an image of the plan. Keeps us from having to guess about what you have.

Looks like you have walls around the fireplace? Posting the plan would be the best way for us to help. You may use Edit>Edit Area to copy just this room to a new plan if you wish.

What is not working for you? Could you post an image of what your roof looks like?

@Alan -- Like Mick, that is an auto generated roof in my image. I did notice some odd white diamond shaped spaces in your walls -- maybe these are the cause of your issues? @Mick -- I keep the ridge an off color to make it easier to see, for me, and others when I post an image.

We need to know your title (Suite, Pro etc) and version (10,2015 etc). Could you upload a picture , hand drawing etc of what you want to do?

Windows or Mac? Which title -- Suite, Pro etc? On Windows, you should have a desktop icon and be able to see the installation (see image).

Not sure what you are asking, Keith. Without understanding what you are starting with, and where you are wanting to go, helping is difficult. As Mick suggested, setting angle snaps to your specific degrees should help, and once you get a wall or two in place, you can use the Make Parallel tool. Angled lines will always look rough on screen -- not sure how they will print.

You control the roof with settings made to the rooms and walls below. What "problems" are being caused by the 3rd floor roof?

Why do you need to see the wall? You may turn off the stair layer so stairs do not show on the plan -- at least in Pro. A similar question was discussed a few weeks ago. A search should find the thread. What Title (Suite, Pro etc) and version (10, 2015 etc) do you have?

When a wall is selected, there is a tool in the Edit Toolbar to reverse the layers. See the images for the roof problem.

Separate cabinets is how I would do it too.

There are multiple ways. In your previous post about a platform for the stove, it was suggested you use a shape, slab or soffit covered with your choice of material. These may be made thin and placed against the wall, working just like the platform. Apply your choice of material. Pro also has the Custom Backsplash tool.

It says at the top of the article it applies to Pro only. Help us by telling what title and version you are using.

The program should do it automatically when you generate the roof. What title (suite, Pro etc) and version (2015, 2016 etc) are you using?
