MikeBCO
Hello, I'm a newbie posting my 1st question. I using Home Designer Architectural 2025. Does anyone have any guidance on how to achieve an adobe style flat roof. I notice there is nothing listed under Build Roof > Roof Styles. I'm thinking maybe to set my default as a "Shed Roof" with a 1/4" pitch (which will give me about a 2% slope), and 1/4" Eave, and Gable overhangs. I then plan to build parapet walls to hide the roof. I'm not sure if I can cause the exterior walls to extend above the roofline and whether I will need to have the parapet walls be a "2nd floor"? Robborito
I just created a storey for the parapet and select or create a wall type for the job of parapet, change the height of wall in elevation to suit lower height. Adjust roof in plan to extents you want at any level. Or, use the change to next level button to move roof line to parapet level for better visibility whilst editing. Worked for me. Hey and I don't profess to be an expert here. (Image of single-story parapet below.) Jeff
