Trying to get better quality Physically Based views

I am having a hard time getting the Physically Based materials to look as expected.

Here is a comparison of Standard and Physically based views of the same materials in a room with a single wide window providing light.

The materials in Standard look much closer to the previews, and as expected.

Even with some adjustments, I can't get the colors to look correct in Physically Based, as well as getting far too much reflectivity on something like floor tiles (applied as wainscot to test here):

Physically based:

Any suggestions?

Thanks

go to the specific tile material and edit it. I think on second tab is where you can set surface from Matte to shiny and other things to adjust how it looks in real world.

Thanks - tried that. Here's what happens when I set Shininess to "Dull":

So, it seems to have almost no effect. Maybe actually makes it shinier.

Another angle, not what I'd typically describe as "dull":

looks fine to me in my HD2024:

View is Perspective Dollhouse using Physical based.

Note look normal in Standard too

I checked material file and it was fine other than DULL not checked.

How do you have SUNLIGHT set?

I played with that and noticed if I could change appearance by messing with LUX and angle.

Lux had to increase by 1000 times though so it was around 100,000,000 which is crazy not normal number.

FYI: I noticed you use Wall Covering to apply tile.

I would have installed the tile using custom back splash so you can get the proper thickness.

OR made a new wall type for this tile portion and then use Pony wall where you want the tile.

As you have it the tile has no thickness.

I feel Wall covering meant for wall paper or you can use for paint if you want a 2 color or more wall.

Thanks, but I need to troubleshoot the materials for now. This file is just a test.

Thanks again, but I'm not using 2024. I'll contact support.
