ChiefChrisM
I have a simple roof design created in Home Designer Essentials 2014 (Build: 15.2.0.87x32) (Windows 10) (first image). The roof appears as desired in the 2014 full overview (second image). But when I load the plan into Home Designer Suite 2022 (Build 23.4.0.123OSX) (Mac OS 12.2.2) and rebuild the roof, it breaks the roofline (third image). Is there a change to the plan that can still result in the desired roof in HD 2022 ? Plan file also attached. Thanks. Rooftest.plan
solver
Answers often depend on which title (Suite, Pro etc) and version (2018, 2019 etc) you are using. You can help everyone by adding that info to your signature (see below for how to turn them on) by clicking on your user name at the top right of the page, click Account Settings, then Signature on the left. Doing so makes it always available, and keeps others from having to hunt for it. And, turn on signature display too. ---- Many questions have been asked and answered. The Home Designer website is a good place to start your search. solver
It looks like your roof planes were all manually edited and not done in Essentials. I doubt Suite will build that roof.
ChiefChrisM
Please see the version information in question, thanks.

I started with the plan from scratch in Essentials 2014, and it builds fine there. It just doesn't build the same way in Home Designer Suite 2022. LawB10
ChiefChrisM, Your better off rebuilding the plan on the Mac. Keep auto rebuild roofs on until your done, then turn it off if you like... If your plan on making changes, turn on auto rebuild roofs before doing so.
ChiefChrisM
@LawB10 I tried rebuilding in HD 2022 on the Mac, and it still looks like the third image I posted. Did you have a plan that works? I couldn't download the roof.plan file you uploaded to this site to see what you had done.
LawB10
I don't know why, I tried to download and got the same error message. I didn't do anything special or tricky, I just added a second floor and lowered the ceiling height. On your plan check the walls and ceiling height for that room. Thanks for the advice, but it still doesn't work for me in HD Suite 2022.
