changing the terrain after the house is completed

I have Home Designer Architectural 2021, my house is mostly done on the software but my elevations are off quite a bit. How do I make those changes now?

I'm trying to decide on patio or deck options and it just wont look the same without correct elevations.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thank you

JoAnn

I have about a -48 (guessing) at the back of the house along the fence line. Its a drainage easement.

At the back wall of the house I have about a -24? its kind of steep.

In the front of the house I should have about 3 steps to the front porch so maybe around ??? zero???

When I think I know what I'm doing and give it another try......then everything starts to crumble, like the patio, the drive way ect.

I've walked away from it several times frustrated.

I appricate any helpful advise.

You are asking about Terrain, not elevations. Elevations has a specific meaning -- front elevation, right side elevation, etc.

You might edit your initial post via the 3 dots on the right side and change the title and maybe the description so it's clear you need help with your Terrain and not your elevations.

Have you reviewed the terrain videos on the Home Designer website?

Resources for self help:

The built in Help System (always a good place to start)

Good grief.  It took almost 5 minutes for my internet to open just one of your pics!

You need to NOT be "guessing".  Start measuring, then you might be able to deal with your terrain elevations.

But that's NOT your only problem.

I see what looks to be incorrect ceiling heights, and possibly some incorrect roof pitches, too.

  • JoAnnWodke changed the title to changing the terrain after the house is completed

yes Jo_Ann there are several issues, I've not perfected the program, AND FAR from it.

I bought the software and I had to use it quickly as we had already broken ground. I have been able to whip it together pretty quickly. I'm quite happy with the short time I put it together.

The roof is defiantly not correct and ceiling heights as well no doubt. Our builder has 9ft ceiling at the parameter going to 10ft.and the vaulted in the living area.

That is way over my head as is the funky roofline.

butt......Thank you for your help

Eric, I believe I attached the plan correctly, I will review the terrain info. I do appreciate your time

Home Designer uses .plan files as their native format.

You don't need to export anything, just attach the .plan file after closing Architectural.

its says the file is too big

Make a copy, delete furniture, cars, plants -- anything not related to the structure.

Zip the file and attach the zipped version. There is a 14 MB size limit.
