cbo1877
Need to understand how to change wall heights without adding another floor. Example: Floor height walls are 9 feet want to enclose several walls to continue to under ceiling which is under rafters. Two walls follow the line of the roof but 1 wall is a gable type and the third is a shed wall. Cannot get the walls to cooperate. Have made all attempts to find how to make these needed walls. solver
Answers often depend on which title (Suite, Pro etc) and version (2018, 2019 etc) you are using. You can help everyone by adding that info to your signature (see below for how to turn them on) by clicking on your user name at the top right of the page, click Account Settings, then Signature on the left. Doing so makes it always available, and keeps others from having to hunt for it. And, turn on signature display too. ---- Resources for self help: The built in Help System (always a good place to start) Getting Started Knowledge Base YouTube Home Designer - Getting Started - Setting Preferences and Defaults Watch on YouTube: http://youtu.be/s-TcAHsiMjg?hd=

DavidJPotter
Ceiling heights for the majority of rooms, spaces enclosed with walls are controlled by Edit [ Default Settings - Floors and Rooms - Ceiling Height by you. Exceptions to that are set in individual Room Specification Dialog boxes - Structure Tab - Ceiling Height input box. The same is true for floor heights where the first floor is set by default to zero inches but floors can be raised ior lowered by way of the Structure Tab of each Room Specification dialog, take a look.
