Sandman51 0 Posted July 31, 2020 How do I create a roof system where the rafters rest on the ceiling joists and not the top plates, a raised top plate?
solver 613 Posted July 31, 2020 Answers often depend on which title (Suite, Pro etc) and version (2018, 2019 etc) you are using. You can help everyone by adding that info to your signature (see below for how to turn them on) by clicking on your user name at the top right of the page, click Account Settings, then Signature on the left. Doing so makes it always available, and keeps others from having to hunt for it. And, turn on signature display too. ---- Resources for self help: The built in Help System (always a good place to start) Getting Started Knowledge Base YouTube Home Designer - Getting Started - Setting Preferences and Defaults Watch on YouTube: http://youtu.be/s-TcAHsiMjg?hd=

Sandman51 0 Posted August 1, 2020 Thanks for the guidance, this is my first time asking a question. Here is an image of what I have, with rafters resting on the top plate of the wall. I want the rafters to rest on a plate on top of the joists.
solver 613 Posted August 1, 2020 I did this video for Chief Architect users, but you might get some ideas from it as pro has many of the same tools.
