Created Angled Cabinets

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm trying to create a bar similar to what is seen in the attached bar1 photo with typical two level structure of bar top and lower sink area. There are no pre-set structures for this type of thing as far as I could see so I went with creating back to back cabinets with different heights. This works well but I'm having issues with the outer cabinet joining. I want an angled corner same as seen in the bar photo and the only way I could find to do this is to create a cabinet with a type 'corner'. This seemed to work as i could join the lower leg with overhung top fine (see cab1a.jpg) but when I try to join the horizontal top cabinet it reverts to a square corner every time. Doesn't matter which joins to the other, the result is the same. Any clues as to what I'm doing wrong or is there some much easier way of building this that i am missing.  Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

It will help someone to have your plan file -- close Suite before attaching.

Make a new base cabinet and format it to be 4" deep, turn it on a 45 degree angle and then using "Control - Key -select - drag into position. Your custom counter top will cover the "void" behind the 45 d cabinet.
