ANGLED POST BRACE FOR DECK

Recommended Posts

I have been using Chief Architect's Home Designer Pro for about 5 years.  I currently have the 2017 version.  I am designing a deck that is 10' off of the ground. i want to put in my drawing a 45 degree angled brace about 3' long at the top of the post to help prevent any racking or sway of the deck.  I can't figure how to make the angled brace with my software.  Anyone know how this is done?

I see you said Pro 2017.

You can help everyone by adding that info to your signature (see below for how to turn them on) by clicking on your user name at the top right of the page, click Account Settings, then Signature on the left.

Doing so makes it always available, and keeps others from having to hunt for it.

And, turn on signature display too.

Try this and burying the unwanted parts in the existing framing.

Or search my YouTube channel (link in my signature) for Custom Backsplash to see another way.
