Is there a way to change which floor shows the terrain perimeter?

Recommended Posts

I have designed a house with 3 floors. Currently all my terrain and elevation data shows on floor 1. Floor 1 is a walkout/basement and I would like to be able to see the terrain perimeter and elevation data on the  2nd floor instead. Is there a way to adjust which floor shows the terrain perimeter in my plan view?

Things I have tried. Creating a foundation (floor 0) and exchanging 1st floor with floor 0. It won't let allow me to exchange a foundation with another floor.

You can delete the terrain and create a new one on a different floor -- you can copy/paste the terrain objects to the new floor.

You can use Reference Display to visually see it from a different floor.

Why do you want to see it on the 2nd floor?

It is only a partial basement, I need to see the terrain and plot plan in relation to the second floor (entire footprint of the house) to see the setbacks, etc. If I copy paste terrain objects it does not transfer elevation data. Any other ideas how to make this work?

If all you need is the terrain parameter, copy it and paste on whatever floor you want. It will past as a polyline that you can dimension to.
