Trouble painting exterior siding white

Unable to paint an exterior wall (siding) true white color  (it stays "gray"  yet I CAN paint e.g. the roof white)in HD 2020 Pro

THANKS David! image.thumb.png.5b29a3e2f172b75bdacb7f8ba8b9ab97.png ...I did have very good success using the "Adjust Material Definition" function, which I had not noticed. Then I went to Texture->Material Color->set Blend with Texture, and picked 255 255 255 white and it worked. For MOST exterior walls. For a few they remain gray. Trying to figure out if it is lighting or sun angle or shade but I don't think so. But, I'm on my way! THANKS...Tom

It is the shading effect and shadows, so some walls appear darker than others. Turn off "Shadows" and see it that helps the appearance you wish, unshadowed (Edit - Default Settings - Camera - Each Camera types settings dialog")

Got it! Thanks for the tips.."Shadows" didn't do it, but Default Settings->3D View Defaults->Sunlight-> and turn on "sun follows camera"  !! I've been struggling with this for hours! Appreciated! Virtual beer for you.
