Use of one terrain for multiple models

Is there a way that I can create a terrain and then place different plans on it in Architectural?

I see you said Architectural, but answers often depend on which title (Suite, Pro etc) and version (2018, 2019 etc) you are using.

You can help everyone by adding this info to your signature (see below for how to turn them on, then see mine for an example) by clicking on your user name at the top right of the page, click Account Settings, then Signature on the left.

Doing so makes it always available, and keeps others from having to hunt for it.

And, turn on signature display too.

You could create a terrain only in a plan, make copies of the plan and add different houses to each.

Eric,

Thanks for helping a newbie! I have fixed my signature settings.

WRT your good suggestion: is there a way to then either import one of the copies into an existing plan that does not have a terrain defined or, alternatively,  copy a plan into the terrain plan. I have several different design variants and I don't want to have to redraw each one into a site plan.

It may be as simple as a copy/paste operation.

Research Edit Area. Also Paste/Hold Position.

Thanks, Getting there, slow but sure. The answer does seem to be Edit Area, then a copy/paste sequence. I have to figure out how to position and scale the two objects in advance, as they (obviously) become part of the same plan once the paste occurs and are no longer simple objects that can be independently moved /scaled.
