447Debbie
The file on the left has the house plan placed on the terrain/elevation/perimeter plan. I need to rotate the house, but because it's never a good idea to rotate the house plan, how do I go about rotating everything but the house plan and rotate just that portion shown in the picture on the right? I do NOT want to create a new file for doing this. I need to work with my plan on the terrain and perimeter because I'm up against all the setbacks and without it I wouldn't know where I am. Here are the features I want to rotate around the house plan. I'd like to see the house, and leave it as is, while I'm rotating the other features, so I can see where the house is hitting the setback lines. All the items in the picture on the right are listed in the Tools Display options as: 1. CAD LINES 2. Terrain Perimeter 3. Terrain Features
solver
Work in a copy, or make a backup copy first. In Layer Display Options, lock everything but the items you want to move. Select all then rotate away.
447Debbie
Thanks. I never knew what the reason for that lock function.
