BobJax
Hi Folks, A couple of hours ago I download HD Pro and started drawing my house plan in it and realized it was good. So I clicked buy. When the price came up I realized I was using PRO @ $495. All I need is to draw my plan and email it to the architect who will draw it in AutoCad. Can I do this in HD Architectural? Anyone know the major limitations in HDA versus Pro that might make Pro a must? Thanks, Bob
Kbird1
If all you are doing is a basic floor plan even Suite may suffice , if you have a complicated Roof then Pro makes that easier to deal with but as Eric said you can start low eg Suite start you Plan and if you need HDA or even Pro you can upgrade and get a rebate worth the value of the previous product so nothing is lost , and any plan drawn can be opened by a "better" version of the software with no issues. DavidJPotter
If a floor plan is all you need you can download "Room Planner" free from ITunes and install it as an app in I Phone or you can get Home Designer Essentials for under $75.00 if you have no I Phone. Newfiebern
Hi, Planning a family room remodel. How do I enter the exact dimesions /elements of the existing room? Must I draw them from scratch or can I import a digital picture of the room? Thank you for your help.
Newfiebern
Thanks Eric. How do I starft a new thread? I can't find an answer to that seemingly easy question in the help or search areas. BTW, I'm only using a trial version of Home dedsigner, so I don't yet know which specific product I will buy. Thanks , Bern
