belmont
How do I get an exterior elevation that only shows what you would actually see when you are looking at the house, i.e. no foundation or basement walls showing below the terrain line? DavidJPotter
In Home Designer Pro you can alter the terrain skirt thickness to block out the foundation and or when you send an elevation to your layout file you can edit how much of a view shows on that layout using the side-handles to adjust how much shows and what does not show in the view. If you have something other than Home Designer Pro your choices are more limited, what do you have? DJP
Kbird1
The easiest thing to do with things like that is to make a CAD BOX and assign the box Fill and Line colour to be the same as your Background colour , (making it invisible except when selected.) which will blank out the unwanted Foundation. I'm using Pro , don't know what you have ? but think this should work in most Versions... Mick.
Keith_K
Tools>Display Settings>Display options Uncheck foundations, footings and anything else you don't want to see. That's what I do.
