BrandonJJinkins
I'm drawing a patio with recessed down lights, and I've already drawn this roof multiple times over to the point that I'm sick. I finally have it the way I like, however, the program does not generate a ceiling outdoors so I used a slab to "fill it in". Problem is, the can lights think they belong to the roof planes, and are hovering at these angles instead of flush with my "ceiling". Is there any possible way, through settings or otherwise, to get what I need?
solver
Give your patio a Room Type of Porch. Check Ceiling Over This Room. Place lights.
BrandonJJinkins
Sounds simple enough, however I don't actually have walls out here. It's a patio, I used soffits as beams and my floor is a slab. I tried invisible walls and it totally jacked up my brick texture on the house and the inside of my roof- plus the fact it still didn't act quite like a normal room. I must have done something wrong. solver
Then try drawing a Ceiling Plane instead of a Slab for the ceiling.
BrandonJJinkins
Wow... I didn't even know that was an option. I'm dumb. Thank you, you just turned my whole day around!
