bdfulbright
I have looked help on creating a Pier (CMU) and Curtain (brick) foundation wall. I am sure that I am just not seeing it in the help or tutorials. Can someone point me in the right direction? Hopefully, if available, the program would automatically generate interior piers based on floor load requirements. Pro 2016.
solver
You will need to place piers manually. Could you post a picture showing the foundation you want to model? I'm wondering how the Curtain fits.

bdfulbright
The CBS is a full masonry wall. Pier and Curtain - In short, piers made from CMUs are placed about 5' o.c. around the exterior of the foundation. Bricks (curtain) are places continuously around the foundation in front of the piers. See attached foundation plan. Thanks.
solver
There is a footing that supports the piers and curtain?

bdfulbright
Thanks - That is what I assumed. It looks as if you designed each pier as a "slab". Correct.
Solution solver Posted August 25, 2016 Solution Share Posted August 25, 2016 Thanks - That is what I assumed. It looks as if you designed each pier as a "slab". Correct. Correct. After doing the first, I used the Transform/Replicate tool to copy at a fixed distance along the wall. A slab can have a footing, but it takes on the material of the slab, so when painting the slab as block, the footings also appear as block, so I made them separately as slabs. You could create an Architectural Block of the 2 pieces and then use it for the interior.
