ruifrias
Quick question. I'm currently using Home Designer Architectural 2017. Just did a simple deck around a section of the pool For some reason it appears that the program thinks deck side of the pool is attached to something. The reason is the placement of the footings. Please see attached photo. Any tips would be great. Rui
DavidJPotter
And your question is? What? DJP
ruifrias
Sorry for not being clear. Not sure why there are no footings closer to the pool. As shown the deck has no beam support on the pool side. Just not sure I needed to define it as something other than curved deck edge (no rail). DavidJPotter
Thank you, with Pro you can directly edit manually deck framing, alas this is not as easy to do in Architectural but you can emulate additional posts and footings using cabinet soffits and footing objects. katalyst777
To rephrase what David is suggesting, there are Shapes in the Library Browser, including a Closed box shape and a Cylinder. You can resize them and change their materials so they look like the rest of the deck framing.
