thefamilyquilter
I am building a plan with split-level entry using HD Interiors 2017, and I want the "landing" (the entryway that is midway between main floor and basement) to have tile flooring but the two staircases (one to the basement and one up to the main floor) to be wood. If I try to change the flooring on the landing, the staircase covering changes as well. Perhaps it is not possible to separate them in this version of the software, but if it is, I'd love to know how! Thanks!
Solution DavidJPotter Posted April 14, 2016 Solution Share Posted April 14, 2016 You can place a thin soffit, sized to the same dimensions and height location as the landing and have the landing soffit carry whatever material you wish. By default, landings pick up their material from the stairs they are connected to, so the soffit is a way to get around that and have what you want relative to appearance. solver
What David said. -------------- It helps if we know what title (Suite, Pro etc) and version (2014, 2015 etc) you are using.
