can't get rid of mystery roof section built on foundation -

working in Home Designer "Interiors"

 

I can't figure out how this section of roof appeared but what is more important is I can't find a way to delete it!!!

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. I deduce that is was auto built - it only shows on the foundation plan and 3d views. I have tried deleting roof but when I rebuild the roof above it comes back.

By going to (toggling to) floor zero (foundation level) you can then turn on the "Reference Display" that will allow you to see the misalignment of walls from foundation to first floor. It is the wall misalignment which is causing the unwanted roof planes, aligh the walls, floor to floor and then build roofs again and if you did a good alignment job, no unwanted roofs will then appear.

the problem was indeed in the misalignment of the foundation and first floor plan.
