HDbyJustin
I am trying to determine if Home Designer Pro can accomplish this task or not. In my area, we frame our roofs differently than what is default in HDP. The attached image, which is just a general section, shows what I am looking for in my typical wall section. I am a draftsman by trade so I use AutoCad daily but would like to abandon having to import my old cad symbols and go strictly to HDP. Took some effort to figure out how to do away with the brick ledge on the stem wall.
solver
Could you be more specific about what you are wanting? Home Designer does not design trusses, they just use a representative truss to indicate the type of framing. Specific details are shown in a section like you posted. HDbyJustin
Ok. Trying to think of how to explain what I want. When I do a back clipped section to create my wall detail. I want the roof system to show like the drawing I attached. Our eaves are the bottom of the bottom cord on the truss. This is what HDP is giving me. HDbyJustin
I want to force it to show the bottom cord extending past the wall and being the structure for the eave. Not having a birds mouth like it wants to give me.
solver
That looks like standard framing and not a truss. I rarely mess with framing, so I'm not sure what side effects this setting has.
HDbyJustin
Exactly what I was looking for! Touchdown my friend, haha. Thanks for the help.
