Andrewdatm
Hello Everyone, I just updated my software of Home Designer Pro 2014 to now 2016. I had a house plan that I was working on, on the 2014 Pro, once I transferred the plan to the 2016 Pro and viewed it I've noticed that on the 3D view there appears to be spacing on the sides and above all doors and windows (door & window jamb). How do I fix this? I've attached a picture to get a better idea of what I am talking about. Any help would be appreciated. Andrew
Kbird1
Hi Andrew , can you post the Plan File please , and then I ( and others) can try it , I have no idea looking at the Photo , this is a new issue but 2014 seems to have a few quirks. DavidJPotter
It appears from your posted image that you have "Casings" turned off (those would commonly fill the voids that are showing in your image around doors and windows). It may also be that those windows and doors might also be marked "recessed" on their "Options" tabs. Both of those conditions (no casing and recessed) can and will cause such appearances, check that out and see if it makes a difference. Kbird1
David is correct Andrew , there are some posts over on CT in your Thread , no idea why the new default after an upgrade would turn off 3D Display of Casing though as they should always be on... https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/index.php?/topic/6336-spacing-problem-with-door-and-window-jamb/#entry56487
