RollingStone
How can I quickly add a blue stone patio. I tried using the rectangular feature and changing the material but didn't see anything that looked like a blue stone patio.
DavidJPotter
Find a good, high resolution picture or image file of the blue stone (you may need to crop or shape it first in an image editor), when prepared, then import it into your Library Browser as a new material, import the image, give it a "material name" and then you can assign it to any object that will carry a material. A full, detailed explanation can be found in your Reference Manual - search for "Custom Material" there. DJP
Kbird1
see this thread on CT about Bluestone from Last month... https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/index.php?/topic/5771-seamless-flagstone-patio-texture/?hl=bluestone#entry50510 These are the 3 I converted to Patio stones mentioned over there but if you want broken edge ,random pieces try one of the other Textures linked there: Patio Stones Square-Random Size.calibz
JoevanZYL
it's not very easy, most of the problems are in the material itself. The bluestone that makes up millions of patios, try to minimize the number of stone pieces that will need to be cut to size on site.
Solution DavidJPotter Posted July 27, 2015 Solution Share Posted July 27, 2015 Here is a video tutorial of me creating a custom material (blue stone) in Home Designer Suite 2016, this procedure works in all Home Designer titles and versions with some variables in the dialog appearances: https://youtu.be/COiLAp1BBDw DJP The texture I used in the tutorial is also attached for download here
