  1. Check you Archive folder for a recent copy of the plan before you got zoomed out so crazy far. KB-00099: Accessing Your Archive Files
  2. The one named "Mirror" is a material, not an object that you would apply the mirror material to. Like LawB suggested, see if one of the Shapes will work instead if you resize it very thin.
  3. Check out this Knowledge Base article. KB-00279: Opening 3D Home Architect® Deluxe Plans
  4. Clear Terrain doesn't delete your Terrain Perimeter (and it's not supposed to). You are probably on the wrong floor, or zoomed in too close to see your terrain perimeter. Start on Floor 0, then select the Window menu and click on "Fill Window" and if you don't see the terrain perimeter there, go up to Floor 1 and repeat "Fill Window," not there, then go up to Floor 2, etc. If that doesn't work, can you see the terrain in a 3D camera view? If not, then you've probably actually resized the terrain perimeter so that it's smaller and hidden somewhere in the rest of your structure. Turn off every layer EXCEPT for the Terrain Perimeter and then go through the whole Fill Window thing again until you find it.
  5. Looks like you've turned off your preview panes. KB-00723: Displaying 2D and 3D Views in the Library Browser
  6. Do a Plant Schedule instead (you can get rid of the Scientific Name column).
  7. KB-00038: Resolving a Gap Between Floors in Camera Views I disagree. I think Wall Types are much easier to understand with the new dialog, but the ones you've modified in this file are definitely a mess. You've got no Exterior wall layer in any of the ones I just looked at real quick. The "Next door SIPS wall" should have you select the "aluminum" layer and Move Up and "Color - Whipped" Move Down. "Next door rendered" should have one "Color - White" Move Up under Exterior Layers, Insulation Foam Move Up under Main Layers, and leave Color - Whipped at Interior Layers. Same with "Next door gable end" - Have one layer under Exterior Layers, one under Main Layers and one under Interior Layers. That's as far as I got, but if you fix your wall types, then you won't have the floor gap anymore.
  8. Use a Custom Countertop. Delete the old versions.
  9. Architectural and Pro both allow you to customize wall types, according to the Product Comparison on the main website. So yes, in Interiors, increase the wall thickness on each individual wall and then change the materials as needed. KB-00363: Modifying a Wall's Thickness KB-00071: Changing the Color or Material of a Single Wall You shouldn't be overly worried about setting exact wall distances until the room or house is drawn, but I'm pretty sure that you should still see dimension lengths for a wall display on the Status Bar at the bottom of the program window when you are drawing a wall, regardless of the version you're in. KB-00245: Setting Exact Wall Dimension Lengths Also check View> Temporary Dimensions (if your version has it) and check to make sure it's toggled on.
  10. I've never tried it with survey data so I don't know what if anything would be lost, but for other CAD stuff that's in the .dwg file format I've used this to convert to a .dxf http://anydwg.com/dwg-dxf/ Otherwise, post on Seeking Services over in the premier forum and someone there can probably import the .dwg in to a plan and send it to you if they follow these instructions. KB-00516: Sharing a Plan File With a Home Designer User
  11. KB-00806: Using Terrain Features and Regions
  12. Try updating the video driver first. Also, if you have switchable graphics, you might have to change something (outside of Home Designer) to force the video card to be used instead of the integrated chipset. Barring that, I agree with solver, contact Support.
  13. Terrain Features can be edited in to pretty much any shape/size you want. They might be a better tool than sidewalks for what you're trying to create.
  14. In other words, sinks get placed in cabinets with countertops. The Kohler vanity symbols aren't cabinets so far as the program is concerned, so you can't just place a sink in them.
  15. KB-00966: Using the Auto Stairwell Tool KB-00125: Creating a Stairwell for your Staircase KB-00210: Using Open Below Rooms
  16. KB-00576: Creating a Plot Plan in Home Designer Pro Step 10 in the "To change the display to decimal feet and bearings" section.
  17. In Home Designer Pro 2016, on the Casing panel, there's a "Curved Wall Casing" setting. Had to double check the Help button to understand what each of the settings were for. Curved Wall Casing - This section is enabled if the window is placed in a curved wall. Straight - Both window sash and casing are straight. Straight casing may not fit properly into a wall if the window is too wide or the curvature of the wall, too tight. Radial - The sides of the casing or jambs are inserted in the wall at an angle that passes through the center of the curve. Parallel - The sides of the casing are inserted in the wall at a right angle to the line tangent to the curved wall at the center of the window. Normally, parallel casing has a straight sash. Radial casing is more like traditional curved windows, and typically has a curved sash. Is this what you're asking about?
  18. There are some basic recangular mirror objects in the Library Browser (some with frames, some without). If you don't see a reflection, then check out KB-00858: Showing Mirror Reflections If you need a custom shape, you might want to see if any of the ones from this bonus catalog that you can purchase for $2.99 will suit your needs. https://3dlibrary.chiefarchitect.com/index.php?r=site/detail/942

  20. This is a better question for the company's technical support people. https://support.chiefarchitect.com/home I have a vague recollection of there being prior posts about some wireless mice with that a slowness or lag kind of problem in the drawing window area, but I'm not having any luck doing a search. If your mouse does happen to be wireless, maybe try using a different, wired mouse and see if you have the same problem? Just found one earlier thread that might be help, although not what I was thinking of. Try going to Edit> Preferences, click on the Edit heading on the left side, uncheck "Synchronize with Cursor" then click OK.
  21. Create a brand new thread of your own, and attach images and the plan.
  22. They're there in floor plan as well, but on Floor A (the Attic level). https://www.homedesignersoftware.com/support/article/KB-00995/ That means that they'd only show up in a Floor Overview or Floor Camera taken on Floor A.
