Andrew1
I would like to make two or more layout views of the same floor level but show different dimensions on each view. So far, I notice that any dimensions I add or modify show up on all layout views with the dimensions layer enabled. I am thinking one view to show exterior dimensions, a second to show interior dimensions, and a third to show details of electrical placement. Is there a way to accomplish this? Solution solver Posted October 6 Solution Share Posted October 6 Tip: Always say what software you are using -- Pro, Architectural or Suite, and the year, like Pro 2020. Home Designer places all dimensions on a single layer with no way to change. Interior and exterior dimensions are often shown on the same view. 1 hour ago, Andrew1 said: Is there a way to accomplish this? Make two copies of the file and do your dimensioning in each. Send your views to a common layout (may not work in older versions).
Andrew1
Thanks! I am using pro 2025. I think I’ll figure out how to cram all dimensions on one view. I really don’t want to lose configuration control by forking the model. note to home designer team: you should have examples of the practical limitations of each version of the software where the feature comparison matrix is. Like have a drawing package made from pro. Or show the most complicated roof architectural can do. 5 pages and all-or-nothing dimensions makes your pro version impractical for making actual construction documents.
