Lighting: 3-way switch on two floors for common light

I am attempting to use a 3-way switch at top and bottom of stairs for the common stairwell light. Obviously, the light only appears on the 1st floor (Level 1) and not in the basement (Level 0), so I can only show the 3-way at the top of the stairs connected to the light; unable to show the 3-way switch at the bottom of the stairwell connected to the stairwell light on Level 1. Is it possible to show both switches connected? Or do I just have to install a 3-way in Level 0, but cannot connect it (shown) going to the light.  I am using Home Designer Pro 2024.  Similarly, I have a configuration where I built a second floor open to the 1st floor (basically a 5' lift to the living room). I have a ceiling fan hanging, but the switch needs to be on the first floor (Level 1), and I would like to show it connected to the ceiling fan, which physically resides on the 2nd floor (Level 2). Again, is this even possible?  (Understand, in this case I may have created my own problem, maybe should have lifted the ceiling for that space in a different manner :-(  Always learning! )

Thank you!
